About Bruce

Bruce Bower is a London-based investor in public and private companies. He is the Managing Partner of Clementy Asset Management (www.clementy.fund), a family office investing across Europe with a focus on retail and technology.

He is an expert in the emerging markets of the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa). Previously, he was a Partner, Head of Equity and Portfolio Manager at Verno Capital from 2010-2014. Verno is a $1.4 bln alternative asset manager based in Moscow. There, he was a portfolio manager and the funds where he was a portfolio manager were consistently top performers. He was also responsible for key client relationships with endowments, foundations and sovereign wealth funds.

Prior to that, he was a Portfolio Manager at Kazimir Partners from 2005-2009. Cumulatively, he has spent 8 years living and working in Moscow, investing in the markets of the former Soviet Union.

He has investments in the retail, technology and media sectors. He possesses significant experience in raising money for portfolio companies. Bruce is a non-executive director of Medefer (www.medefer.com) and Chairman of Life & Soul Pictures (www.lifesoulpictures.com).

Bruce holds a B.A. (Honors) in Economics and History from the University of Chicago and a M.Sc. in Political Economy from the London School of Economics. He is fluent in Russian and speaks French. He holds both US and UK citizenship.
